As a time stop 5e spell you have a chance, i.e, you can briefly stop the flow of time for each and everyone but yourself. Actually, no time passes for an other creatures, because you take 1d4+1 turns in a specific row, during what you can use the actions and move like normal.
This time stop spell will end if one of the actions that you use during this period or else any effect which you do create at the time of this period, also affects a creature other than you or else an object being worn or carried by someone but other than you. So in an addition, the spell actually ends if you move to the place more than 1000 feet from the location wherever you cast it.
