Hello spellcasters of all shapes and sizes! Welcome to my spellbook and thank you so much for checking out the 7th level spell series. If you’re curious about our today’s topic then here we are going to be discussing about dnd 5e spell temple of the gods. It is usable exclusively by the cleric and it is found in the Xanathar’s Guide to Everything. Now let’s look at its mechanics and its full description.
- Level: 7th
- School: Conjuration
- Casting Time: 1 hour
- Range: 120 feet
- Components: V, S, M (a holy symbol worth at least 5 gp)
- Duration: 24 hours
You do cause the temple to shimmer into an existence on the ground that you could see within range. Of course here the temple should fit within an unoccupied cube of the space, almost up to 120 feet on each side. The temple remains until unless the end of the spell. Of course it is dedicated to whatever the god, pantheon, or philosophy is represented by the holy symbol used in the casting.
You do make all of your own decisions about the temple’s appearance. Even though the interior has been enclosed by the floor, walls, and also a roof, Even though with one door is granting an access to the interior and also as many windows as you wish. But only you and any kind of creatures you designate whenever you cast the spell could open or close the door.
Here the temple’s interior is of course an open space with an idol or else an altar at an end. You actually do decide whether the temple has been illuminated and also whether that illumination is the bright light or even the dim light. However here the smell of burning incense fills the air within, and the temperature is mild.
Here the temple opposes some different types of creatures that you select whenever you cast this spell. Select one or more of the mentioned here: celestials, elementals, fey, fiends, or undead. If the creature of the selected type attempts for entering the temple, which creature must make a Charisma saving throw.
On a specific failed save, it can not enter into the temple for about 24 hours. Even though if the creature could enter the temple and the magic there hinders it; but whenever it makes an attack roll, an ability check, or else a saving throw inside of the temple, it should roll a d4 and then subtract the number rolled from the d20 roll.
In an addition to this, the sensors are created by the divination spells can’t appear inside of the temple, and also the creatures within can’t be targeted by divination spells.
Finally, when any kind of creature in a temple that regains some of the hit points from a specific spell of 1st level or higher, then the creature regains an additional hit points that are equal to your Wisdom modifier (minimum 1 hit point).
Of course the temple is made from an opaque magical force which extends into an Ethereal Plane, this blocking Ethereal travel into a temple’s interior. Of course here nothing could physically pass via the temple’s exterior.
Even though, it can not be dispelled by the dispel magic, and also by the antimagic field has no effect upon it. A disintegrate spell would be destroyed the temple instantly. However casting this spell on a same spot that everyday for about a year makes this effect permanent.
