You do touch the dead creature which has been dead for not more than a century, which didn’t die of old age, and of course that isn’t undead too. Suppose, if it’s soul is free and even willing, the target should returns to life with all of its hit points. Basically, this spell neutralizes any of poisons and even cures the normal diseases that are afflicting the creature whenever it died.
Usually, it doesn’t, al though, remove a magical diseases, curses, and the like, if such type of affects aren’t removed before to casting the spell, they afflict the target on its return to life. Basically, this spell closes all the mortal wounds and also restores any missing body parts. Mainly here coming back from the dead is an ordeal. The target shall take a -4 penalty to all the attack rolls, saving throws, and ability checks too.
At every time the target shall finish the long rest and the penalty has been reduced by 1 until it disappears. However casting this spell to restore the life to a creature which has been dead for a year or else the longer taxes that you greatly. Until you do finish the long rest, you can not cast spells again, and also you have disadvantage on all of the attack rolls, ability checks, and saving throws.
