There’s a couple cool ways of getting it but it’s only on the warlock spell list and it is found in the players handbook. Super cool stuff honestly i really like this one i’ve seen it used to great effect and i’ve used it to great effect. That being said let’s take a look at the rough mechanics room just kind of understanding what’s going on. Also read about all other official dnd 5e spells from here.

Mechanics

  • Level: 1st
  • Casting Time: 1 Reaction *
  • Range/Area: 60 ft
  • Components: V, S
  • Duration: Instantaneous
  • School: Evocation
  • Attack/Save: DEX Save
  • Damage/Effect: Fire

Essentially, your damaged die starts out as 2d10 which is pretty dang impressive and we get an additional d10 first console a level above first, so needless to say stacks up pretty damn quick. The effect at a glance is as follows; When you get hit, you can react by burning your attacker with hell flame, the cast time is one action, the range 60-feet and the duration is Instantaneous, saving throw is dexterity and should they succeed it’s half damage, the components are somatic and verbal meaning you have to gesture with one hand and speak forth in incantation. The school is Evocation and the damage type is Fire.

I wouldn’t allow people to reskin the damage type by the way just as a quick head-up, i feel like the fire works great but to make a character build work i feel like a little bit compromised. Isn’t more than fine with that all out of the way let’s take a look at its description so we know exactly what we’re talking about.

Alternative Uses

The best one that i can think of off the top of my head is kind of one that plays on the way this spell word it a little bit. There is nothing in this spell that specifies you have to be able to see the creature. It is implied however that you have to point your finger at them, but it doesn’t implicitly say that. It just says you pull your finger and the creature that damages momentarily sort of my hellish flames. So as long as they damaged you, you can point and damage them as long as they’re within 50 feet naturally.

Now i would run that past your DM they might disagree on the wording there but by raw, that’s what it says. I would also heavily recommend by grabbing the flames of fighters or if you’re a tiefling why not this is a great way better protect himself or just discourage enemies from attacking you. In general it might also be worth looking at the elemental adapt feat for the fire.

Is Hellish Rebuke A Trap Of Warlocks?

As per many warlock users and many guides this hellish rebuke is one of the most recommended 5e spell for this class. As per all of its characteristics it is one of the best spells. But when it comes to the spell slots it has so many. So, you make 10 fire damages in an average as a reaction. In many circumstances it’s much better to save that spell slots for anything else.

As per the above aspects, the biggest thing is that it’s works on a reaction and it is great because it opens up your action for some other things.

In this spell we can use to prefer a misty step or else any another good utility spell for any of the general walking around the adventuring.

A Short Review On d&d hellish rebuke

Whenever you cast this d&d hellish rebuke which has been caused a creature of the warlock’s choosing within 50 ft of him/her which is to burst into the flames channeled straight from Nine Hells by using the warlock’s pain and also rage.

Actually, the intensity of those flames were, for the sake of part and determined by the capacity of the warlock themselves for taking any damage, and also with some more experience where the spell grew in the power substantially.

Like most basic of all the spells which are used by warlocks in the name of service of the devils, and the hellish rebuke could be the cast like many times per a day as the warlock wished.

Whenever cast on the avernus and the first layer of the nine hell and also the victim was assaulted by derisive laughter of the imps while these flames flickered.

As we mentioned in the above table this spell needs only the verbal and somatic (V and S) components for casting. After the famous second sundering and the warlocks of the any other pacts and also sufficiently experienced tieflings were been able to cast this spell too.
