As per this Forcecage DnD 5E Spell an immobile, invisible, cube-shaped prison composed of a magical force springs into existence around an area that you select within a range. However the prison could be a cage or else a solid box, as you select.

Usually, a prison in a shape of a cage that could be up to 20 feet on a particular side and it is made from 1/2-inch diameter bars spaced 1/2 inch apart.

However a prison in a shape of box that could be up to 10 feet on a side, anyway by creating a solid barrier which may prevent any matter from passing via it and blocking any spells cast into or else out from an area.
