Draft Horse Monster DnD 5E

Hello zoologists of all shapes and sizes! Welcome to my spellbook and thank you so much for clicked on to the 53rd episode of our beasts series. Today we have a rather kind of thematically interesting, or socially interesting creature to talk about. We’re taking a look at the draft horse 5e.

Now the draft horse is considered to be a cr:1/4 and this found in the basic rules. Which is to say basically everyone can get it, this is also a very popular steed and i’ll kinda get into that in a little bit here. That being said let’s take a quick look at its stats and break it down a little bit.

So the draft horse is considered to be large beast, that is unaligned. It has an AC of 10, and 19 hit points calulated by rolling 3d10 and adding 3. it’s speed is 40 feet as well which is pretty good. It makes good amount.

  • Type: Large Beast, Unaligned
  • AC: 10
  • HP: 19(3D10+3)
  • Speed: 40ft

Taking a look at its stats…you’ll notice an impressive, strength and constitution score outside of that it’s pretty average as most beasts.

  • STR: 18(+4)
  • DEX: 10(+0)
  • CON: 12(+1)
  • INT: 2(-4)
  • WIS: 11(+0)
  • CHA: 7(-2)

It also has passive perception of 10. Let’s take a quick look at it’s actions here.

Hooves: He can do a hooves attack. It is considered to be a melee weapon attack and +6 to hit which is certainly very impressive. Range of 5 feet it can only target 1 target and deals 9 bludgeoning damage on a hit calculated by rolling 2d4 and adding 4. (Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 9 (2d4 + 4) bludgeoning damage.)

So, it’s rather interesting cause there is a draft horse than the war horse. And the war horse is for the most part a superior version of the draft horse.

So if i would have kinda put these in world…i would give kinda more commoners, quier type people to the draft horse and then the nobility of the wars in them. True presence may be something like the pony…i don’t know. But that’s how it’s said. I would use these as a indicator of kind of social standing and i would have that reflected in the party and the manner beast of they’re using.
