Hello zoologists of all shapes and sizes! welcome to my spellbook and thank you so much for checking into the 46th episode of our beast series. This is also the first beast in the beast series that is CR1 quarter. That’s right we’re moving up in the world slowly but surely. So it’s a little bit tougher at least hypothetically and not see 50 experience points as opposed to the 25 of the 1/8. Today we are talking about the d&d 5e axe beak monster. It is a tall flightless bird with strong legs and a heavy wedge-shaped beak. It has a nasty disposition and tends to attack any unfamiliar creature that wanders too close. So they’re pretty dang aggressive but in terms of the description itself. I got an ostrich stuck in my head. A lot of people think it looks like the bird from final fantasy whose name i forget like jehovah or something like that i forget. Any ways the axe beak let’s check out his stats here.

It has only one senses and that is passive perception of 10. Now let’s quickly take a look at his actions. The axe beat only has one action and that is a beak attack.
Beak: It makes the Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 6 (1d8 + 2) slashing damage.
I really do think these are the best used his mounts personally. Maybe for like grassland or plains raiders as it were they run around on an axe beaks across maybe even kind of like the grassy plains of the kind of jolt maybe. I know jolts typically more jungly but that same time like africa ask kind of feel to it. Anyways that’s how i would probably use them may be roving herds of them than kind of pillage small towns or villages and that would be another cool way of using them.
