Alzhedo DnD Language 5E

The Calishite Alzhedo was the regional tongue of Southwest Faerûn, and also the main language of the Calimshan. Of course some of the other regions where it was normally spoken which includes; the Amn, Chult, the Lake of Steam, Lapaliiya, Lantan, the Nelanther Isles, the Shaar, Tashalar, Tethyr, Waterdeep (among dwarves, elves, and gnomes), the Western Heartlands (among halflings and planetouched), the Wealdath, Tharsult, and the Old Shanatar region of the Underdark.

Alzhedo, like most primarily human tongues, used the Thorass alphabet. Basically, the Alzhedo was the derivative language of Untheric and was in the same language family as Midani. Of course the Common Alzhedo surnames included Basha, Dumein, Jassan, Khalid, Mostana, Pashar, and Rein.

The Calishite Alzhedo was the very closely related to an Old Alzhedo, the 5e language which is spoken on the Elemental Plane of Air, and this fact shall lends credence to a theory which is the first civilizations in a Calimshan area which were made up of the travelers from that particular plane.  Alzhedo was spoken at court, in all of the government and also judicial proceedings and of course throughout the polite Calimshan society. However it was a much more guttural language than the old Alzhedo,  and of course it included many elements from Common, Dwarvish, and Elvish. The majority of Calishites speak the High Calidrian dialect.
