Crab DnD 5E Find Familiar

Hello spellcasters of all shapes and sizes! Welcome to my spellbook and thank you so much for checking out the third episode of our find familiar series. Today we’re gonna be taking a look at the crab don’t really know why you’d want to pick this one, thematically i have a hard time wrapping my head around it, maybe i you’re like pick the sailor background i think that being interesting what it kind of fold it in. So there’s a place for it. That being said, let’s get into the stats.

Overview

  • Type: Tiny beast, unaligned
  • Armor Class: 11 (Natural Armor)
  • Hit Points: 2 (1d4)
  • Speed: 20 ft.,
  • Swim: 20 ft.

A decent AC of eleven by decent i mean it’s above a ten so take that with a grain of salt. Two hit points i would roll why not to roll your d4 whatever it is that there it is. Two different speeds 20 foot of walk speed and 20 foot of swim speed which is pretty cool. I wish was thirty but whatever i mean technically crabs are pretty dang small they don’t really move that quick in general so there’s that.

Stats

  • STR: 2 (-4)
  • DEX: 11 (+0)
  • CON: 10 (+0)
  • INT: 1 (-5)
  • WIS: 8 (-1)
  • CHA: 2 (-4)

In terms of its stats you know not a whole lot there. There’s a couple things is terrible at namely strength and intelligence which makes sense. It’s not bad for Dex and Con but not great either. It does get a plus two to the stealth which is comprable maybe i don’t know. Blind sight upto 30 feet which is cool. Passive perception nine which is less than cool.

Other

It has Amphibious as well so it can breathe in the air and in the water as well. I think that’s pretty interesting actually. If you were a sailor background or you and with this swashbuckler then magic initiate then i could see this being a very cool thematic familiar. But for most spellcasters i don’t know it’s just a hard sell to me.

Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +0 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 1 bludgeoning damage.

I’d like to see you have more hit points and also like the speeds walk or swim speed move up to thirty feet so it can always keep up with us. But i can see kind of wide set up the way it is.

Conclusion
