Hello adventurers! welcome to my spellbook and thank you so much for taking a look at the 71st episode of of our feats series. Today we’re going to be going over another one of the more recent feats additions to 5e, we are going over dnd 5e fey touched feat. Which is found in tasha’s cauldron of everything.
Before we dive into its description however if you would like to check out the full page with all dnd 5e feats included please do check out the given link. In any case lets dive right in to this fey touched 5e.
Right off the hap you gain a +1 to either your intelligence wisdom or charisma.
Your exposure to a Feywild’s magic has been changed you and even granting you the given benefits below:
- It increase your Intelligence, Wisdom, or Charisma score by 1, to a maximum of 20.
- However you can also learn the Misty Step spell and also one 1st-level spell of your choice. Though the 1st-level spell should be from the Divination or else Enchantment school of magic. However you can easily cast all of these spells without even need to expending a spell slot. But once you do cast either of these spells in this common way, you can not even cast that particular spell in this way again unless until you complete a long rest. Mostly you can also cast these spells by using spell slots that you have of the appropriate level. The spells’ spellcasting ability is the ability enhanced by this feat.
Really overall straight forward and simple however to provide a decent amount of utility and customization as well. Now lets move on to its walkthrough.
Quite simply put you gain a +1 to intelligence wisdom or charisma. Likely you’re gonna be picking your spellcasting ability modifier as thats likely to be your eye stat of your caster. If you’re not a caster, charisma is probably your best as it is arguably the most useful out of the 3, however does come down to how your character is set up and like kind of a vibe going for.
In addition to that once per long rest you can cast either mistystep or a first level spell of your choice as long as the divination or enchancement and you can do so without using the spellslot. You can’t cast it in addition to the once per long rest however that would require you to use spell lists and do so.
Misty step is quite arguably one of the best little level spells in the game…at least as so far as to say it has ton of utility to it. Most of the time is used for escaping danger situations however if you feel the opportunity present itself, you can also use it to put yourself into incredibly advantageous positions.
For example achieving certain vantage points that are likely to reach by others and in terms of the first level of your choice both the divination and enchantment schools offered ton of selection. However i personally find a more in favor to the enchantment options in terms of customizable and overall usage. Now lets go to my personal thoughts
I find them overall really in favor of fay touched. I think it offers a great amount of customization and really any spellcasters stands against quite a bit out of this. Having misty step as utility spell is super handy both inside and outside of combat and especially those earlier levels still little bit squishy.
It could really save your life….in addition to that having access to a divination or enchantment spell that isn’t on your spell list is certainly be beneficial as well.
That being said let me know what spells you’re likely to take from fey touched. As well as any thoughts, questions, comments or concerns you have regarding it. As always guys hope you have a wonderful day and of course happy adventuring.
